As a Quality Technician you will play a key role in monitoring the technological parameters of aluminum cans, ensuring they align with established standards, customer requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs). By leveraging the SPC system, you will report and analyze measurement and test data to provide accurate insights for short-term process monitoring. Your responsibilities are:


  • Maintain and ensure the efficiency of measurement devices and parameters;
  • Supervise and enforce compliance with required standards and instructions;
  • Guarantee a high efficiency level for gauge measurement devices;
  • Ensure measurement equipment complies with EU and local legislation;
  • Update and maintain calibration/service schedules for measuring equipment;
  • Coordinate and organize service visits for equipment maintenance;
  • Keep certificates and gauge trace documentation up-to-date and archive necessary documents;
  • Conduct investigations, quality improvement projects, and data collection to support business and customer initiatives;
  • Apply SPC and Minitab process control methods to analyze data and evaluate both current processes and process modifications;
  • Perform internal metrological verifications, calibrations, and qualifications for all measuring and control devices in quality control and production areas;
  • Operate and maintain measuring equipment according to supplier service instructions;
  • Address minor damages to measurement devices and create specific internal instructions as needed;
  • Conduct periodic statistical analysis of quality parameters as assigned;
  • Record and, if necessary, retain samples related to quality issues for rechecks;
  • Provide internal training for employees, including introducing new instructions and procedures;
  • Deliver annual training sessions related to quality defect and packaging catalogs and ensure the defect catalog is up-to-date.
Functie-eisen
  • Minimum of secondary education; additional qualifications in quality management are an advantage;
  • Proven experience in a Quality Control role;
  • Proficiency in using measurement devices, test equipment, and tools;
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, BRC, HACCP principles, and health & safety regulations;
  • Knowledge of SPC, MINITAB, and Statistica software;
  • Strong command of the English language;
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; capable of working independently or collaboratively.
